Just a quick update to the snow fall expectation today and tonight. One of the things with the NWS that over the years since I started blogging, is that they have slowly begun to do the same things. So, this is easier than me having to produce everything (Heh)….
From the office:
Accumulating lake enhanced snow is expected today, along with increasingly gusty winds leading to the possibility of blowing and drifting snow. Lake effect snow will then continue into tonight. The greatest accumulation is expected across the typical snow belts of northwest Lower and eastern Upper Michigan.
In addition, falling temperatures are expected throughout the day with wind chills dropping into the teens this afternoon and the single digits this evening. Roads will likely become slick as temperatures fall below freezing.
There may be a bit lingering lake effect snow near the Grand Traverse Bay region early Friday morning with another period of potentially accumulating snow or a mix of rain and snow possible later Saturday into Saturday night across all of northern Michigan.
